Why Work in Pest Control?

We’re guessing you didn’t dream of becoming a Pest Control Technician when you were little. Well, I’ll let you in on a little secret, neither did most of us! There is very little information out there that speaks about how essential the pest control industry is. Working at Richland will allow you to make a real difference in communities across the State of Connecticut. Pest Management Professionals around the world are responsible for keeping the public safe from the threats that many common pests can pose to human health when the populations are left unchecked. This means keeping our most fragile community members safe by treating the locations they spend their time in, including the schools our children attend and the communities our elderly reside in. Certain pests, like bees and wasps, can pose other risks such as allergic reactions to stings.

Additionally, history has proven the pest control industry to be recession-proof, making pest control jobs an optimal choice for candidates looking for a sustainable career with room for growth. With the ever-growing use of ecologically friendly pest control methods, these jobs will not disappear anytime soon.
